As the title says, what apps are you guys using to play local music from SD cards?
For TIDAL / Spotify etc, the R4 is great…… however, finally moved my 15k song music library over to a micro SD card and my experience with this device has plummeted. Like a lot….
I have Poweramp pro from my android days, seems a bit better than Hiby Music, which crashes all the time. I have to restart the device just to get playback to work.
Also having issues with awful audio quality, this is using both my IEMs OKZ x HBB and my Meze Classic 99….. I am unable to use HiDef output on either Hiby Music or Poweramp…
It’s getting to the point I can no longer recommend this product to anyone, which suck as I was full of praises initially.
To also add, if I plug in my ifi Flask DAC into the R4 it sounds amazing…. But I should not be needing to use a 2nd DAC with a DAP that has a built in DAC… the reason I purchased it.

Hello, I'm looking at purchasing a Hiby R4 but I couldn't find exactly what I wanted by googling. Besides music, I also want to play videos when I'm traveling. I've seen stuff on Google listing various music streaming apps. But I need to know if I can also use this for Netflix, Vudu, movies anywhere, or even YouTube. Would anyone be able to let me know if. 1: You can install those apps 2: the overall experience with playing videos off the device Thank you.

As it was said... Anything that runs on android. Think about it as some kind of phone that doesn't work for calls. And have a limited (but acceptable) screen. You can even play games. Depending on the the game and processor capabilities.
