April 8, 2025 - In order to fully experience the benefits of Class-A you will need to pair with a headphone and not an IEM and yet the R6 Gen III doesn’t have enough output power to drive majority of headphones to their full potential. I think Hiby should have spent that extra budget of Class-A amp on the R6 Gen III 2025’s display and design.

Unfortunately whilst the R6 is very good, it was just missing something for me. The interface is clunky, as is the Hiby app. The sound was lacking something in the low end and mids maybe too recessed (I'm not the best at explaining). Seemed to also suffer with that digital glare, which in turn takes the emotion out of tracks. Shame really as it's a well made device, just not polished imo.
I managed to get a brand new Sony NW-ZX707 Jap Uncapped version and matching case. Much happier with this setup, updated to Android 14 out of the box, feels alot more slick and the sound is on another level too the Hiby and much more too my taste.
Hiby will get sold now.

I live in France and I would also like to buy a Japanese version of the 707, but I don't know which site to go to... knowing that I have absolutely no confidence in ebay... Thank you for your answers

Assuming it’s not intentional, the shortening of “Japanese” is a bit distracting.

The R6 iii 2025 provides 2 sets of EQ, first of which is the Parametric EQ which allows complete control of the entire frequency. It allows up to 10 bands of equalization so more than enough for the average user to tinker with it. But if you find it difficult to use that, then the 2nd one which is Hiby's own MSEB (MageSound 8-Ball) EQ allows for a simpler user experience to attain similar effects.
