If you want US-made only bedding, I would stick with Supima cotton since that will be the highest quality cotton you can get from the US. I've noticed that many 'Made in America' brands that market their sheets tend to either only use long-staple cotton or just say it's high-quality premium cotton without saying that it's Supima or extra-long staple cottons. Generally, though, if you look around at most US-made brands the vast majority won't just come out and say 'this is Supima cotton' they merely imply it. Long-staple cotton is better than regular short-staple Upland cotton, sure, but ELS (or Supima) cottons are far superior and are what you will want to go with if you want the nicest, longest-lasting sheets that you can get. The only brand I managed to stumble on recently that outright says on their product pages 'Supima cotton' is Wright Bedding, so I would start there, honestly. Good luck! :) More on reddit.com

You need to decide on material and weave, then search out makers that suit both metrics. Linen is a material. Linen is generally viewed as having a longer lifespan than cotton. Linen is generally more pill resistant than cotton. Linen is generally viewed as cooler than cotton. Cotton is a material. Cotton is generally viewed as having a shorter lifespan than linen. Cotton is generally less pill resistant than linen. Cotton is generally viewed as warmer than linen. Percale and sateen are weave types. Percale weaves are generally viewed as cooler than Sateen weaves. Percale weaves are generally viewed as having a longer lifespan than Sateen weaves. Sateen weaves are generally viewed as being softer while Percale weaves are generally view as crisper. Short staple cotton will pill faster than long staple cotton. Short staple cotton will also feel less soft than long staple cotton. What is long staple cotton? I will declare it like Michael Scott: Egyptian cotton, Supima cotton and Pima cotton are the terms generally used unless it generically states, "long staple cotton".
