Seeking recommendations for absurdly high-rise hiking pants. Like higher than Mom-jeans, I want pants that go up to most people's armpits. I'm 5'7", but have an absurdly long torso, and most pants fall well below my natural waist. I have a small-ish waist, and a big-ish butt, and finding pants that actually fit my natural waist is generally a challenge. I hate hiking up my hiking pants!
Most hiking pants don't specify the rise, so I'm wondering if anyone here can recommend very high-rise hiking pants? Obviously quick-dry nylon and/or polyester, lots of pockets are ideal too.
My current favorite hiking pants are the EMS Compass 4-Points Joggers. They're super high-rise, fabric is stretchy (like OR Ferrosi, but more durable) and pockets are deep. Nylon/spandex blend, great DWR, quick-dry, love them. But, they've been discontinued, and sold out in my size! Also, the thighs are kinda baggy, I prefer a skinnier cut thru the thighs, am ambivalent about the jogger-style, but they do work well as built-in gaiters. For reference my favorite jeans are Levi's Mile High Super Skinny, they have an almost 11" front rise, and are barely high enough for me.
So, any recommendations for hiking pants that would make Laura Dern (in Jurassic Park) proud?

They change their patterns all the time so I cannot tell you if this will be available or even the same anywhere else you may find it. I have a pair of zip-off hiking pants that go up almost to my boobs on my 5'3" person. The tag says Buzz Off insect shield insect repellent apparel from Ex Officio. 100% nylon Made in China --L-- Women E4IT - Khaki RN 79137. I bought them at a thrift shop so I can't tell you how old they are or where to get them. I could maybe mail them to you if you want to PM me. They are super long on me. I have had to put drawstring cords in the cuffs so they don't drag on the floor. They probably won't be insect repellent anymore. There's a couple stains on the knee but otherwise they're in good shape.

Eddie Bauer has womens high-waisted Guide Pro Pants. I get the mid-rise and they are amazing pants, so I imagine the high-waisted are awesome too. I think they might have a couple of other high-waisted styles too.

Hey OP - check out the Mountain Hardwear Chockstone Alpine pant! I have been loving mine this year. The pant waist is above my belly button and the built in waist cinch is really great. I’m usually a 10-12, bought a size L for layering with a base layer underneath. It’s a little baggy without the base layer but works great. Worn them in temps ranging from 15-40 F and in the snow and been happy. Much better than the activators, even though I do have those and like them. I got the Freeflex Rollups in a size eight and was a little worried they would be too small and unflattering, but they weren’t. They fit me now in spring ’25 at a size ten, and they still look pretty good in the summer when a four is closer to a true fit with the adjustable waistband.

I just got into hiking and am now ready to invest in some proper gear. I've just been wearing leggings, but want something with more pockets.
I live in an area with lots of ticks so I prefer to wear pants even in hot humid weather. I've tried several pairs and they are either too heavy or really low waisted. I'm a curvy woman so I prefer high waisted. Any suggestions??

Super nerdy but I really appreciated my trekking pants with the zip-off lower legs. They were lightweight, had pockets, and you could even just partially unzip the leg to allow venting. And I have even unzipped the leg completely but rolled it up and tucked it in my sock so I didn’t have to take it off and stored in my pack. Like I said, super nerdy but I was damn happy to have them for a 12 month trip around the world when I was 30. They had belt loops and I just used an nylon webbing belt that was customisable because I lost 100 lbs over the 12 months. Super thin and quick Drying
