I’ve been noticing a shift in denim trends lately, and I’m curious what everyone here thinks. Are ripped jeans starting to fade out of style in 2025, or do they still have their place in a stylish wardrobe?
I've seen a lot more bootcut, flare, and even wide-leg jeans making a comeback, especially paired with platform shoes or sneakers.

I work at a women’s jeans store. Ripped jeans have been “out” for a couple of years now. ANY style of jeans ore stylist right now, EXCEPT skinnies (sorry, skinny lovers!) The most popular are wide leg and barrel leg styles. The reason these work is proportion. Since they are fuller in the bottom of your body, balance them out with shorter tops (or tuck in longer tops).Platform sneakers are perfect but they also pair well with Maryjane flats or even heels.

I switched over to high rise wide leg jeans but I bought over 3 years so some are more just straight leg. I have standard length, cropped ankle and had some shortened to capri length for summer. I am older and plan to keep them long term as wide leg never went out of fashion in my age range and the plump artsy set.
