Accessories on every surface, toys, books, etc. Instead, only highlight items that you really love and keep everything else hidden away. In our old condo, we had the most beautiful built-ins. These were fantastic because we could display our favorite items up top, while hiding lots of other not-so-cute stuff down below in the cabinets. In our current home, we don’t have a lot of decor out anymore – kids, I tell ya!
