Bought a townhouse recently and thinking of how to modernize it a bit.
The dishwasher desperately needs to be replaced (pretty sure it's the original one that was installed when the house was built in 81). The oven and fridge are old, but still function. I imagine newer ones would be more energy efficient though.
While the dishwasher is the only thing that NEEDS to be replaced, I figure that while I'm doing that, I may as well replace everything else that's in there. I could also install the microwave over the oven and get some MUCH needed space on the already limited countertop.
Lowes and homedepot have all these manufacturer bundles where you can get like 20% off of everything when you buy em together. I figure I would just do that and get them to install it all. Easy peesy. That being said, while people like bosch dishwashers, is it worth getting a fridge from them as well? I don't really know much about the reliability of these companies in regards to the difference product categories so I don't know if it's a good idea.
if I get difference companies for everything, wouldn't they all look too different in the kitchen? The thing is that I'm not made of money, so would be looking to spend $2000 or so. not much more.
Lowes (and probably home depot too) usually run black friday deals where if you buy 2+ appliances you get a couple hundred off with increasing amounts the more appliances you get. You don't have to match by brand. The extended warranties from Lowes are worth it too imo.
Check your local appliance dealers too. They will usually always beat the big box price.
A lot of the times they have service teams that can save you down the road.
