Going to look at tile tomorrow but have no idea where to start. Quartz counters have light gold and blue veining. Wall color is a light grey, Behr "Dove.
Thanks much!
Got a quote from Home Depot. Is that reasonable?
Hi everyone,
I’m in the middle of a kitchen renovation (photo attached), and I’ve picked a few backsplash options from Home Depot, but now I’m second-guessing myself. My kitchen features SINARP wood cabinets, white quartz countertops with extra white veins, gray LVP tile floors, stainless steel appliances, and black matte handles for the cabinets. I’m aiming for a clean, modern, and slightly elegant look, but I’m worried my backsplash choices might not be bold enough.
Here are my current options:
-
Daltile Lamora Marble Gilded White Hexagon Tile
-
MSI Angora Subway 2x6 Polished Marble Tile
-
MSI Angora Herringbone Marble Tile
I’m considering whether I should keep things simple like white subway tiles, lean into bolder options, like black, metallic, or geometric tiles, for a more striking, modern effect. Or, should I stick with neutral tones that are timeless and versatile?
Would love to hear your thoughts and advice—especially if you have suggestions for other options or layouts!
Kitchen in need of a back splashWe are getting to the end of the kitchen remodel and one of the last decisions is backsplash and microwave. We picked out one of the mosaic tiles at Home Depot and we like it! But are seeing a lot of hate for these, and didn’t know that they are considered outdated! Will we regret this choice? Should we go with something else instead?
Blue lowers, white uppers, galaxy black counter top.
We also like the bit of stone look because you can see our fish tank wall from the kitchen now and it kind of matches the look is why we wanted the mosaic tiles, plus this is a more subtle less busy color I feel like. Open to suggestions. Second pic is just a quick edit to kind of see what it looks like. Last pic is pre remodel, thanks!
