I highly recommend Home Depot for kitchen cabinets. Two years ago we purchased Woodmark cabinets for our newly built home. We were able to do a very large kitchen, three bathrooms and a laundry room for less than $15K (cabinets are maple wood with a clear finish).

They have a vetting system that contractors can apply to. If they pass then HD puts them on a preferred provider...

They're not proactive in contacting a customer, the the communication is almost non-existent, and I would suggest they move kitchen design and installment to to third party off-site company. Company. My kitchen is kind of old, built in 1986. We got new appliances. Now are trying to spruce up our kitchen cabinets and counter top. Cabinets are made of wood, so HD guy told us to reface them. Countertops will be replaced with granite. He gave out a quote, and applied 10% off, etc.

Paid HD $32K for kitchen remodel. Countertop we ordered was back ordered 3 months - fine. They called to schedule 1 month early-YAY. They installed wrong cabinets & wrong countertop.
