Reviewed Aug. 11, 2025 · We ordered new countertops from Home Depot (Gaylord, MI) with undermount sink installation – clearly written in our order and final invoice. They installed countertops cut for an overmount sink instead. Now we’ve had no kitchen sink or dishwasher for weeks, forced to wash dishes in our bathroom sink.

We're starting a kitchen remodel and have done a lot of footwork pricing kitchen cabinets. We found Home Depot and Expo Center to be the most expensive - you'll pay full retail price there. Century cabinets in San Francisco (off of Bayshore) quoted us a great price on KraftMaid cabinets.

My kitchen is kind of old, built in 1986. We got new appliances. Now are trying to spruce up our kitchen cabinets and counter top. Cabinets are made of wood, so HD guy told us to reface them. Countertops will be replaced with granite. He gave out a quote, and applied 10% off, etc.

Instead they charged all this money and my kitchen is unfinished and they didn’t do the window sill as per the contract, kitchen overall looks unfinished. Will never contract Home Depot again. ... June 7, 2024 - They don't bring records of what you have already discussed so you will frequently have to review everything. After you have paid for EVERYTHING, the builder will then demand that you sign a waiver that says they are not responsible if they crack any tile backsplash, etc. And--- they WILL CRACK YOUR TILE & do a sloppy job trying to camoflage it. Even the caulking did not give a professional appearance. And, for reasons unknown to us they managed to lose a knob from the stove. They left the kitchen absolutely FILTHY. Home Depot...

Only a couple of the experts interviewed had enough (or any) experience with Home Depot products to speak to how well they hold up over time, though you can read reviews on the website to get a sense of what customers have to say.
