WE have a 9 year old Samsung refrigerator that is still working fine for cooling, but the in door ice dispenser hasn't worked in probably 7 years and the in freezer dispenser just stopped working and we have been having issues with the door water dispenser as well. We ordered the LG LHFS28XBS which is a Home Depot exclusive model with a decent overall rating but a lot of 1 star ratings about poor reliability, DOA units etc. and I am wondering if we made a mistake. It won't deliver until June 21, so I have plenty of time to cancel the order. We don't NEED a new refrigerator, but I am a big fan of ice water and having the cold water in the door is nice as well. I have done some reading and have found that pretty much any refrigerator with ice and water in the door will eventually have problems with it, which is annoying as my mom has a 15+ year old refrigerator with both and has had absolutely no problems whatsoever with the ice and water.
Anyway, should I cancel this order and just keep the Samsung and make my own ice or try and get the freezer maker working again or should we maybe look for one without and ice and water dispenser? We bought it as the Memorial Day sales were pretty good and thinking about if tariffs hit.
