Other than physically looking, there is no real way to know. It changes day by day as the vendors bring in whatever they have to showcase. As the other person said, plants are Pay-By-Sale (or is it Scan?) PBS products which means that Home Depot doesn't purchase and resell them like other merchandise. That is why we are not allowed to discount plants or use our typical "empowerment" judgment call -- it is not our jurisdiction, not our products. If you scan a barcode in SKU Depot and see the "[PBS]" text, that's the indicator. Now if a plant vendor happens to be around and is willing to discount a half-dead plant from their company for half-off, that is their call and we can help the cashier authorize that one-off exception to the rule.
