Hampton Bay Avondale
Does anyone have experience with Hampton Bay Avondale RTA cabinets? I know Hampton Bay isn’t the best brand but my 1970s kitchen is falling apart and we don’t have the budget right now for custom cabinets.

I’m actually installing some Avondale cabinets now - I have not run into any issues yet, 4 cabinets left to assemble in a 10x10 kitchen. I think for me, they’re pretty decent budget cabinets with dove tail and soft close drawers, and I’m being super careful with install and reinforcing with wood glue. I like that if something’s wrong, I can easily return to the store, but I will say that they took a really long time to get to me and Home Depot basically kind of lost them and put me 1.5 months behind on my kitchen. My fault for not planning ahead I guess. Good luck with your cabinets, feel free to dm if you have any more questions!

Yeah cabinet joint looks great on instagram, but they stopped replying to my emails. Could not figure out why. Found this thread. Their about me page is weirdly super Christian conservative religious. I think I mentioned “my husband” or offered my social media to do a reel collab for hopefully a small discount, they do have a program setup for this, and they stopped communications immediately. May 12, 2019 - Not to worry for the Home Depot, though. They'll still be getting my money for other materials. Although I know that online stores sell sample doors, I'd rather buy a brand available at a local dealer. I've been to one showroom locally that sells Forevermark, Fabuwood, and Adornus, but the latter two brands must be requested unassembled. They also have Wellborn but I think those only come pre-assembled. I know that some Forevermark cabinets are made with MDF/HDF and some aren't.

We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen.
We want white shaker cabinets, soft close, cabinets that will look good and last 15+ years.
We were going to use Hampton Bay Designer series cabinets from Home Depot but then we saw Valleyview cabinets is sold by Lowes. That opened the door for RTA cabinets and now we are overwhelmed with the options
Has anyone used the Valleyview line, being able to go to Lowes seems like an advantage of the product is damaged.
The number of online retailers are is hard to process. Any recommendations on which retailer you have used, who has high quality and is easy to use/approach. Which retailer used high quality hardware or screws and glue versus clips.
Any recommendations or help would be appreciated.

I've installed ForeverMark cabinets in 2 kitchens (6 & 3 years old) and for the most part have been happy. Can't remember the online retailers names but both were a good deal at the time and they have alot of other cabinet lines as well. An area or 2 of heavy traffic (below garbage drawer pull) are going to need to be touched up or eventually get a new door, but so far so good. I think the quality is on par with alot of those midtier brands sold at HD/Lowe's, but for half the cost due to being RTA.

We are looking for a good quality budget friendly option. We have a huge kitchen 14'x17' that we are remodeling. I have been looking around and the hampton bay Avondale cabinets from homedepot caught my eye! Plywood box and hard wood construction with soft close hinges sounds too good to be true especially for the price! Whats everyone experiences with them? Anyone had them for some time?
I have looked also at the Sektion line from Ikea but I dont really dig the inside of the cabinets and they only offer white for the shaker door line.
Any other good options out there?

We are currently going through a remodel and using these cabinets - they're fantastic quality! They've all been delivered with no issues so far. The only issue we have run into is that two of the sizes we need aren't available yet....which we didn't realize when we had ordered the rest of them. So make sure you have everything you need first lol.
