I’ve started this bathroom reno and against my better judgement picked out the floor before having a shower tile to match. Everything I’ve brought home for samples just doesn’t match.
The vanity was painted black, so that’s another limiting factor in what can be used in the shower. The shower hardware will be matte black like the sink and there will be a sliding glass door with matte black hardware.
Where do I go from here? Would love some ideas.
We are starting a bathroom remodel for our small-ish master bathroom (about 70 sqft). We've settled on several features:
Vanity: https://www.samsclub.com/p/details-by-becki-owens-catherine-vanity-assorted-sizes/P03030745
Floor tiles: https://www.tilebar.com/bronx-white-12x24-matte-porcelain-tile.html
Walls will probably be a warm white like: https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/oc-45/swiss-coffee
But can be flexible depending on fit with the shower tile. Which brings us to the decision point: what tile to use on the shower walls?.
We're thinking either something dramatic, like this fluted look: https://www.tilebar.com/curve-fluted-green-6x12-3d-glossy-ceramic-tile.html
Or something a bit more traditional subway-tile, which we would stack vertically: https://www.tilebar.com/chips-2-0-brick-verde-aqua-3x16-polished-porcelain-tile.html
It's a stall shower and we'll be getting a glass shower door installed. The floor tiles will be the same in the shower as in the bathroom. We're in a shady lot with a lot of big pines, and the bathroom gets mid-to-late afternoon natural light. There is also a possibility that we sell in 3-5 years so resale value is a consideration.
