Hoopla
What’s a good free audio book service? tried hoopla but my library doesn’t really have much.
Libby (Overdrive) through your local library usually has a lot more offerings than Hoopla. Some libraries also use services such as RB Digital and Axis 360.
For me, Libby is my go to. It’s got a large selection, and my library lets me put up to 10 on hold and check out up to 10 at a time.

Does anyone know how to sample an audiobook from Hoopla? I need to know if the narrator is going to be good before I borrow one but I can’t figure it out on Hoopla. Thanks!
I’m mainly looking for entrepreneur, mental health, life advice, marketing, and maybe some fiction, let me know please.

I think it depends more on what budget your library has and what they think will be most popular with their users. They buy licences for the books they want to provide.
Most other free services will be ones provided by libraries, so it depends on which libraries you can join and which services they use. The only other free service is Librivox, but this is just out of copyright stuff.
