I needed a spark arrestor for it and since the hotshot comes with one ends up being much cheaper. after using it for a bit ill probably end up selling the solo as its got a lot more resale value used due to name brand. the solo with cover, spark shield, and stand would cost somewhere in the mid 400s. the hotshot was 299 in store and included all those things plus the cook grate. Some comparisons. - The flame on the solo is much different, its very slow and flowy (is that makes sense). its pretty mesmerizing and unique. hotshot looks more like a standard firepit. - smoke creation is about the same between the two. - solo is fully welded, hotshot is combo welded and screws - the tool cracked in box. called the 800 number and they said they dont offer parts. this was discouraging. went to costco and they gave me the floor models tool. if there are any issues with parts, this could be a problem long term. -both made of 304 stainless so should last. Just saw this at my local Costco, looks like a knockoff of the Solo firepit. This one is a tad bigger than the Solo Bonfire model and includes a smoke screen, base, cover, and grate for grilling. $289.99 in store here.
Anyone have any experience? Can't find much online for actual reviews.

I'd bet it's almost identical. The Solo Stove wasn't really a brand new idea. Rednecks did it with a dryer drum for years.

Just saw these today. Says it's a 22" pit - about the same size as a Bonfire.
But, for $300, you get the pit, a mesh spark screen, protective cover, and grill grate.

Stated to be 100% 304 Stainless Steel. The finish isn't as nice as on a Bonfire, but the price point sure is much nicer, especially with all of the accessories included.
