October 24, 2024unpopular opinion: I loved Hotel Reverie and I love the casting
I didn't know any of the actresses before (I'm not from the US) and I thought both were good. It feels like people from the US hate Issa for other reasons or know her in a different context and are projecting. I have never seen Issa before and she was ok. Her being out of place in the movie setting and struggling to act on the set was part of the plot. More on reddit.com

Just watched it… sobbed. Reminded me so much of San Junipero and then when I saw the box addressed to Junipero St I cried more. One of my favorites. They are so good at writing devastating episodes lol

They are both romantic melodramas released in the early 1940's from opposite sides in World War II.

tis my fav episode of this season.. and well... it's just an old film, that got pulled into a dimensional direction . terrifying btw.. imagine... you sleep or even chilling out then wwhhummppff .... you are somewhere else now.. some dimension, world. where everything looks normal ish.. but.. not entirely. you aren't recognized by your own family, loved ones. now- you'd just look crazy to everyone. etc
