Denver--Nicest property downtown?
Brown Palace Hotel 100%. Has amazing amenities and a historic location. Would definitely recommend doing tea while you're there, perhaps smoking a cigar, and ending the night at their bar. My wife got her toes done and a massage at the salon but says it wasn't the best. Room service was excellent.
More on reddit.comDenver - where to stay?
I'm headed to Denver in the Summer and exploring the Marriott options to stay at for 2 nights. I was originally going to stay at The Brown Palace but all of the recent reviews have destroyed it... so I'm instead looking at the Ritz, Hotel Clio, or The Jacquard.
Are there any other options I should be looking at? If I'm not interested in high-end shopping but rather good food / drinks, would downtown (Union Station area) be better than Cherry Creek? Thanks
I'm from CO so I never really had any reason to stay at a Denver hotel but now I've moved out of state and I'm going back to work and looking for hotels in Denver downtown - and kind of blown away at what crappy options we had in Denver when it comes to hotels. Maybe its just marriott.
The options I saw in my range were renaissance, sheraton downtown, and magnolia.
If they have em open, I prefer properties with executive lounges. I'll probably walk every morning to the union station area and I think the furthest option from the above is Sheraton and it is well within my preferred walking distance so I think all of them locationwise is ok for me.
However my wife may be coming with me and I'd prefer her to be safer walking around doing her thing during the day. Friends tell me downtowns turned to shit lately.
Would appreciate any input!
