The House of Saud: How much longer do they have left?

As bad as the Saudi family is, they are actually not the source of most of Saudi Arabia's problems. The real problem is the Wahhabi establishment which has partnered with the Saudi family. The Saudi family needs the Wahhabis in order to legitimate their rule. The Wahhabis need Saudis if they want to enforce their interpretation of Shariah internally and spread their zealotry externally. This is how Saudi Arabia has been and still is run. If anything, the Saudi family moderates the Wahhabis. That's why factions of Wahhabis such as Al Qaeda have splintered off from the Wahhabi establishment.

In short, undermining the Saudi family won't necessarily fix the problem.

The house of Saud was instilled by the British - Do we have a part to blame in establishing this dynasty?
We installed their family into power against the Ottomans, at a time when they were committing the Armenian genocide and fighting against the British in the Arabian Peninsula. It looked like the right thing to do at the time, install a friendly force into a Arabia and to weaken the Ottomans. Can we really blame our ancestors for not being able to see the horrible State they've turned into now? We are not to blame for the way that have turned out today, the same way we are not to blame for the decisions of Australians, Americans, Canadians, Kiwi's, etc. More on reddit.com

The House of Saud is the ruling royal family of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has been criticized by the international community for its poor human rights record, Saudi Arabia is a totalitarian regime where political opposition is not permitted, there are no political parties or national elections, The House of Saud has also been accused of sponsoring terrorism, and they have been involved in arresting and even murdering journalists and activists, Saudi Arabia also discriminated against women, LGBT people, and religious minorities, there is no religious freedom, as the practice of non-Muslim religion is prohibited, there are also cruel and unusual punishments such as flogging.

So I say yes, it's an evil regime, what do you think?

His government has continued to imprison women's rights activists on terrorism charges. His Saudi Vision 2030 program aims to reduce the Saudi economy's reliance on oil through investment in other sectors such as technology, tourism, sport, and the megaproject Neom; the economy remains heavily reliant on oil.
