I got a large wooden dining table off of Craigslist and sent it off to a local furniture restoration business recommended by my neighborhood group to get it restained and resurfaced. Unfortunately she did a bad job - there are obvious brush strokes and dark stain streaks everywhere, and the original "glow" the wood had is gone. I was hoping there's a chance a more experienced professional could strip this off and redo the work. Bonus if they have carpentry skills and could shorten the table as well.
