Wondering if any of you use Houzz Pro tools for remodeling projects. What has your experience been like?
Hey there,
I recently spoke with a representative from Houzz about their new pro program and I was wondering if anyone has recently had experience with it and their new software. I was wondering what your thoughts were and if it's worth paying for this service? Does it really help increase sales and get your name out there?

Has anyone had success with Houzz pro? Any horror stories or success stories?
After a one year commitment to Houzz Pro at a cost of $400 per month our design firm netted 35 clicks or referrals.
For comparison, Google sent over 3,500 people to us. Linked-in with my basic profile sent over 700 distinct enquiries.
Houzz then automatically renewed us on a monthly basis with NO advance warning or any follow up.
On your Houzz-Pro dashboard there is no details of your current subscription costs, end date, pending renewal date.
Nothing.
This is also no way to cancel on your Houzz Pro dashboard. To do this you have to contact your "Success Manager" and personally speak to them one month BEFORE your next payment to cancel.
Houzz and Houzz Pro is definitely not worth the money and with this kind of business model I would rate them as a very dishonest and poor company to do business with.
When we enquired about the lack of results during our "Pro" campaign we were told "add more pictures, add more reviews, add an article"....basically...give us more high quality, free content that we can use on our site for free.
If you have a basic profile then great. The Houzz Pro is a scam, just like the "best of Houzz" badges they give to almost everyone so you promote Houzz on your website.
Just to check, I used a VPN and a private browser to see if my own company would be featured for a relevant search I did for my area and we were not.
Houzz Pro was a rip-off for us.
We’re considering going to Houzz Pro for the backend support it would provide, specifically client communication, change orders, billing/invoicing, takeoffs, estimates, client portal, and the website. The advertising they provide is all an added benefit, not the primary reason we’re considering them.
What thoughts/opinions does everyone have on them? We’re looking at the $100/month plan if that helps.
Any custom home architects out there who use Houzz Pro?
We had it maybe 7 years ago and did not get any decent leads from it, but they are pitching us to re-up to Pro and claiming they will ensure we have high quality leads with realistic budgets. Do any of you use it and find it valuable?
STAY AWAY FROM HOUZZ PRO. They scam people and steal your data. Watch out small business owners
For those that didn't know, houzz isn't a real PM software. It's an extremely weak scheduling plug-in and marketing scheme designed to trick small business owners into long term contracts they can't get out of. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MONTHKT BILLING. THERE IS NOT WAY TO CANCEL. When you ask to cancel, they send you the fine print from the paperwork that says there's not cancelation.
When you post a review of a pro on Houzz can the pro reject it or delete it?
Or
Are Houzz reviews BS?
Was wondering if anyone has experience with Houzz. I been looking for new ways to get leads besides Home Advisor and Google. I do landscaping, drywall, and stucco so I been getting majority of my work through referrals and Home Advisor but looking for more stable workload especially with drywall. They want to sign a contract where I am locked in for 12 months at $350 per month.
Hi Everyone - first time homebuyer here, and last year I signed a contract with a landscape designer to take on a significant project for me (new fence, stonework, landscaping, tree removal…)
TL:DR his work has been gorgeous in the end, but working with him has been a nightmare. He’s now pressuring my to give him a 5 star review but I don’t think he’s earned it.
He’s gone $20k over budget, he makes me feel guilty for asking questions, and has told me he “expects a 5 star review” on houzz because he “went above and beyond.” In texts with me he has told me to not “go cheap” when asking for an additional $11k, he’s been defensive and rude when I’ve pointed out concerns, etc… overall he’s been very rude and very hard to work with.
He has my cell number and (of course) home address and I am worried about retribution. I left him an overall 5 star review but then gave him 3 stars for communication and 4 stars for value.
He has since emailed me to accuse me of taking punitive action against him, and is clearly trying to guilt me into amending my review. At the same time there’s a tiny bit of work unfinished that he’s trying to get me to pay extra for. This is despite his work being under warranty - he installed irrigation that doesn’t work and so fixing it should be under warranty.
The finished work is so pretty and I am so happy with it - but the feeling of being manipulating into being dishonest with my reviews feels terrible. I want to be honest about my experience with his company but don’t know what to do.
If y’all were me how would you move forward? Cut ties and find someone else to finish the irrigation? Hold him accountable to the warranty and tell him to finish? Rewrite my review with honest feedback?

Hello and good afternoon. I work for a small business, interior design firm. We have used Houzz pro for a long time, but recently, they told us in 2 months our monthly prices is shooting up by about 600%.
They are trying to justify this by features they are adding, but we won't even touch these new features, Like handling contracts though Houzz Pro or having them host a website.
We have had a handful of problems with them, but because of our extensive inventory data kept on Houzz Pro, it will be quite a pain to leave the platform.
I am curious on if any other design firms are going through a similair situation.
anybody have any tips for mastering houzz pro? Are you using everything in there, estimates? takeoffs? inspiration boards? Whats the fastest way to master Houzz pro?
I'm looking for some work done to renovate my basement- are these sites good for finding reliable contractors? Do any contractors here use them?
