After a one year commitment to Houzz Pro at a cost of $400 per month our design firm netted 35 clicks or referrals.
For comparison, Google sent over 3,500 people to us. Linked-in with my basic profile sent over 700 distinct enquiries.
Houzz then automatically renewed us on a monthly basis with NO advance warning or any follow up.
On your Houzz-Pro dashboard there is no details of your current subscription costs, end date, pending renewal date.
Nothing.
This is also no way to cancel on your Houzz Pro dashboard. To do this you have to contact your "Success Manager" and personally speak to them one month BEFORE your next payment to cancel.
Houzz and Houzz Pro is definitely not worth the money and with this kind of business model I would rate them as a very dishonest and poor company to do business with.
When we enquired about the lack of results during our "Pro" campaign we were told "add more pictures, add more reviews, add an article"....basically...give us more high quality, free content that we can use on our site for free.
If you have a basic profile then great. The Houzz Pro is a scam, just like the "best of Houzz" badges they give to almost everyone so you promote Houzz on your website.
Just to check, I used a VPN and a private browser to see if my own company would be featured for a relevant search I did for my area and we were not.
Houzz Pro was a rip-off for us.

Update: Houzz Pro initially billed us as "HOUZZ ADVERTISING" Since we blocked them on Visa that they have tried again as "HOUZZ INC" Slimy, awful company. Do not give these people your credit card. Tell every trade you know to avoid them. This business is hard enough without predatory practices like this.

I messed up, the trial was nice, but nothing that would benefit my blooming business. I meant to cancel it before the date, set reminder on my calendar and all. But work got busy and I missed the deadline.
Now I find out that I was automatically renewed for the yearly contract and can't cancel until renewal time. I feel stupid and am annoyed, because I should have known better. I recognize Thumbtack and Angie's List for what they are and I didn't see this coming.
Point is, has anyone had any luck with this situation? Of course I am going to try the usual, calling my bank and trying again with customer service. Will also try to find myself a Karen that can call them for me.

Hey everyone, I cancelled my agreement before the actual time period of houzz. I called customer care and pressured them and then they transferred my call to a subscription specialist i nicely talked with her and told that i had to shut down my company because i was moving somewhere else, i was short in time so i provided them with my airplane ticket, but they asked for notarized paper stating that i own no company and that one was already stopped providing services. But i was in rush and asked them that is it okay if i show you my air ticket and thats it, they stopped my subscription few days after.

It is a big scam! I never got a lead and cannot cancel it and it was never told to me this way in the sales call and we clearly told them that it was a trial for us. They will happily take advantage ofnyou and this app is useless!
