He is very meticulous and really takes pride in his designs. Eli has many years of experience in building and it definitely shows. They have great sub-contractors and excellent workmanship.
Houzz Pro
Houzz, Yelp and home advisor are bad for the industry and customer base alike. Their entire business model is founded in SEO superiority so they can intercept leads and sell them to contractors. Their screening process for contractors is a customer based review process which is doesn’t account for the customer or why they are unhappy. It also doesn’t account for contractors who request positive reviews. A contractor shouldn’t be paying for a lead before they can vet the customer to see if they and their project are a good fit and the customers price tag shouldn’t be covering the cost a contractor paid for shitty leads and wasted time on estimates they couldn’t win. Our experience with Houzz Pro - not good!
Honestly i’ve had a good experience with houzz pro. I like how organized it keeps my projects and clients actually find us through there. More on reddit.com
Houzz pro yay or nay ?
I have a well built website that generates me a few solid leads a week that cost me around $4000. I also have Houzz pro which generates me 0-1 leads per week from people that have no money or for projects not in my work area. There's no way to cancel so I will have given them $6000 and received nothing from it aside from wasted time I expect. I'm hopeful there's one project that comes of it so it's not a complete write off. More on reddit.com
Is Houzz Legit?
They're way more expensive than you'd think, about 5,000$ for a pro account, minimum. Do the free one, so you're on there - but don't pay for it. I regretted it, and you can't cancel. Just use it to redirect to your own site. Spending even a tiny fraction of that money on instagram adds will get you more leads. More on reddit.com

I was very nervous at first but the contractor Peter was extremely patient and was with me every step of the way. His team which included a talented designer put together a picture perfect kitchen, powder bathroom and master bedroom bathroom. I was blown away by the attention to detail and if you’re looking for a wonderful experience limiting your stress level for such a major project then Peter and his team are a great fit.”

Bad Contractor
November 11, 2002 - My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free. ... My wife and I are nearing the end of a bad experience adding onto and remodeling our kitchen. The contractor we hired is now over a month late finishing the job, has done generally poor quality work, rarely supervises his own crew or subcontractors, and has just generally made this an experience we would never want to repeat.

Hey there,
I recently spoke with a representative from Houzz about their new pro program and I was wondering if anyone has recently had experience with it and their new software. I was wondering what your thoughts were and if it's worth paying for this service? Does it really help increase sales and get your name out there?

Contractor seriously overcharging
September 19, 2024 - I hired a contractor to do some work. I'll spare the long story, but he raised prices over the estimate. Like a LOT. Like a whole lot. He says he miscalculated. He says this is worth $32,000. Install 6 kitchen cabinets, plus hardware (cabinets and hardware provided, so labor only). Paint a living room and kitchen (Paint provided). Install LVP for 1740 sq foot home (LVP provided, but baseboards were not).
