February 28, 2018 - Like sometime there is a 10 degree Celsius difference between HWMonitor and CoreTemp. They should all report exactly the same but some programs apply different offsets to the figure reported by the sensors I believe. I use TPFanControl to set fan speed on my ThinkPad and in that you can manually define the offset for the various sensors to get the actual temperature. I adjusted them to match HWiNFO. I find HWiNFO the most accurate and comprehensive (it shows more sensors than Aida64 or HWMonitor).

Answer (1 of 6): HWInfo64 is reliable and accurate, but a bit overwhelming in how many stats it throws at you. HardwareMonitor (HWM) is a bit of a lighter version of that. For GPUs, any overclocking tool (afterburner, etc) will give the same values as HWInfo64. Just use HWInfo64.
