The Roblox app is forcing an upgrade to a newer version. However, when i click Update in the appstore nothing happens. Has anyone else run into this? Can’t play the app until it updates. Thanks

I fucking hate Amazon for this. Every other week my kid needs this app updated, and the ONLY thing that works is uninstalling and reinstalling the app. But first you better delete 7 other games and 50 pictures because now somehow the tablet is out of storage and needs more to install Roblox, which was just deleted. Long pressing and clicking check for update does nothing, and if I open the app it tells me to upgrade the game but I can’t because “this feature is blocked on Amazon Kids.”

I just checked and Roblox is available in the Amazon app store. Not every App is in the Amazon app store, but there is a way to install Google play store and most apps will run on a Fire. You might be asked to do that for other apps. Just Google for the instructions to enable Google Play Store on a Fire.

Yes. Also it is incredibly easy to put Google Play store on for anything that you can't get on the Amazon app store. You can then manually add pretty much any app you wanted to the kids profile One small caveat. There's going to be Roblox games that you can't play very well due to the limited processor and ram on fire tablets. If you are tech savvy you can get fire tools off of git, and go through the readme and customize the removal file to make sure that profiles and other necessary services aren't removed and then you can remove all of the other bloatware and Amazon services that are needed as well as the ads and it will make the fire tablet run a lot smoother. My son always had a fire tablet for a long time, but the straw that broke the camels back was the inability to use most parental control software or root it on fire tablets. I use Google and Microsoft parental controls as well as MMGuardian and they will not work on the fire. I ended up getting a Ulephone Tab A11 PRO for $150 off Amazon. Way better processor, ram, etc. You can set up a kid's profile using Google family link parental controls. Way easier, faster, better sound, better screen... Pretty much better everything for cheaper. I got a kids case for a Lenovo 11 inch tablet and only had to do one small modification and it works perfectly. He can even play fortnite on it which you cannot do on a fire and his Roblox runs way better.

Roblox is available through the amazon app store but only if your using a tablet with amazon fire OS 6 or later Which is android 7 and later because the current roblox client only supports android 7 and higher at least for now

February 2, 2023 - Like you, the Appstore app had about 3GB of storage consumed. I tried to force close and clear and it didnt seem to go away. I rebooted, then cleared storage and after a few minutes it cleared out. I rebooted again for good measure and Roblox installed and opened up as expected.
