Hello
I'm on a family plan, and my parents were at a Verizon affiliate store getting a phone serviced. The rep mentioned that my device (iPhone 8 Plus) will "lose access to the network very shortly" and that they should discuss an upgrade option.
Have I missed something? I can't seem to find any info or announcements about this, and I'm calling BS.
I just got a new iPhone 16, after five years of using a deteriorating (but functional) iPhone 8. I’m realizing that I could have taken advantage of the trade-in credit through Verizon if we update to a more expensive plan. I understand how the credit works (before anyone says ACTUALLY IT DOESN’T SAVE YOU MONEY), so for the sake of this post, suppose I want a trade-in credit.
What sort of credit can I get for trading in my iPhone 8, assuming it passes muster at the Apple Store? Is the $830 credit the maximum, since it reflects what you get if you trade a 15 for a 16? Can anyone point to anything on the Verizon website detailing whether different phones yield different trade-in credits?
For reference, Apple’s trade in credit would get me $40.
