Hello! I have been hired for a two-week trial as a content writer for a startup, with the possibility of full time work at the end if itโs a good fit. They hired me at $23/hr for the trial, but said if I am taken on full time I can negotiate a higher rate.
This is my first writing gig for a company, so I am not sure what a fair wage is for this position. I donโt want to undersell myself, because Iโve been working in food service and am used to low wages. $23/hr feels like a fortune already.
If you have experience in this field, what is the average starting rate for a full time content creator? Iโve seen some wild ranges online, like from $50-$80/hr. That seems CRAZY high, but idk. Maybe thatโs how โskilledโ labor is priced.
Can anyone help?
