The easiest and probably one of the cheapest way to do so is to go to Carrd.com to create a website, link it to a custom domain. Carrd does one page websites beautifully. It costs $19 per year. Yes, PER YEAR. Domains from porkbun.com or cloudflare would be among the cheapest. About $10. So you are looking at $20 per year. You sound green so might not want to go with WordPress. I love WordPress but if all you are after is a simple one page site, then it's an overkill. Answer from Independent_Run_3006 on reddit.com

r/webhosting on Reddit: How much would it cost to have 1 domain name website with only 1 page
August 17, 2024 -
I want to register a domain name, and the entire website is basically just 1 front page, that shows my social media accounts. So like a linktree, but with a more professional domain name.
But i have zero knowledge about domain names, hosting it, the fees, etc. I only know that the domain name is not yet taken.
Can anyone give me a generic cost rundown? The domain name per year, do i have to pay for privacy protection? Do i have to pay for additional costs?
It would really help a lot. Thanks!

+1 for using Cloudflare Pages. Free hosting for static sites that resolve very quickly due to great DNS. Only cost will be the domain rego/renewal. I currently have four basic websites running this way and it’s perfect.

6 factors that influence domain name cost

For example, Wix offers free web hosting to all users (including those with a free plan) and a voucher for one free year of domain ownership to Premium users. 02. Domain extension A domain is made up of a top-level domain (TLD) and a second-level domain (SLD). The SLD is the first part of a domain and the website identity. The TLD, otherwise known as the domain name extension, is the second part of a domain. For example, the TLD for Wix.com is “.com” and the SLD is “Wix.” Often, if

Can domain name prices vary over time?
The price of a domain name is determined by a number of factors, including the popularity of the TLD, the availability of the domain name and the registrar that you use. In general, domain names that are more popular and less available will be more expensive. However, the price of a domain name can also fluctuate over time. For example, if a domain name becomes more popular, then the price of the domain name may increase. In some cases, you may be able to negotiate the price of a domain name, especially if it isn't popular and there are no other bidders. This usually isn't the case, though. T
