so the more streams you get, the more money you get, if someone listens to at least 30 seconds of your song, that counts as a full stream, the screenshot attached is how much money ive made in one month from my album, and the album has only seen 63 viewers, but this is just a summary on how apple music or anybody else pays you, just think about this, what if your song went viral and got to 1 million people, thats over $1,000 in your bank account, so thats really what drives me to keep doing music full time Disclaimer: i dont know much about the pay and streams so dont take my post as a fact, but this is just what i experience but please feel free to share your experience down below, im trying to learn more about it anyways

Hello, there is something I am curious about. One of my songs has now reached 4.5 million streams on Apple Music. I haven't received the report yet. I was wondering how much royalty I would get on average for 4.5 million streams. It says that the internet costs an average of 1 cent. I don't know how true this is. Can anyone really get a report from Apple Music and tell me the average price paid per stream?
Do they get paid for every listen? Do they get paid if you download their music? Or what about if you mark a song as a favorite? Just curious trying to make sure some of my favorite artists get as much money as they can from me listening since everything has changed dramatically since physical media has become nearly extinct.
Apple Music's standard plan is $10.99 a month, and they said they pay artists $0.01 per stream.
If you listen to just 37 songs a day, Apple will have to pay the artists you listened to $11.10 monthly, which is more than the $10.99 subscription cost.
The other subscription plans are even less profitable.
If a family of 3 is on Apple Music's family plan ($16.99 a month), it only takes 19 streams daily per person until Apple loses money.
And the $5.99/month student plan becomes unprofitable at just 20 streams a day.
So how is Apple Music profitable? Do they get their profit from somewhere else?
Got this from Facebook from an artist i follow. According to hip Apple pays less than Spotify (€173,47), Soundcloud(€150) and UK Fitness Classes (€1399,05).
Quick question. Do artist get paid for full streams only? Song starts? Some percentage of song listen to? Do they get paid more if you listen to a whole album? I’m just curious how much Apple screws people if you skip the last three seconds of their song.
