Which one works better on a PC? Is the first one just Java edition? Or the pocket edition? again I'm on a PC so I wouldn't want Pocket Edition xd

When I click redeem on the Minecraft Launcher (it says we own Minecraft Bedorck so we can get java for free) it then says buy for $29.99.
My brother already did this on my own Pc on my account and it was free there.
I checked my sister's Microsoft store app and she does indeed own "Minecraft for Windows." The email used for the Microsoft Store app is the same as the one used in the Xbox app and used on the Microsoft account website, although the store app was missing the profile icon so I'm not 100% sure if there aren't two different accounts at play here with the same email, somehow, or if the store app icon is just missing for some random reason and there's nothing wrong.
