Should I put underlayment down under new lifeproof luxury vinyl plank flooring?
Vinyl plank flooring is equivalent to linoleum, but with a firmer feel. The underlayment is used for sound deadening and as a moisture barrier. Both of those are built into vinyl planks already I would advise not installing an underlayment. If there are imperfections in your subfloor, then you may want to remedy that, but even still most of vinyl planks that I've looked at are made for installing over minor imperfections. Good luck.

It says you don't have to, but I'm wondering if it would still improve the feel and sound of the floor. Any one have any experience doing it either way?
