I have a new BofA custom rewards card. Upon adding to Apple wallet, it wants me to call a number that does not pick up in order to verify it. I’m told it can also be done from the app, but adding to both pay pal and Apple wallet is not an option that I can see in the app.

I was going through the process of adding all of my cards to my Apple Pay wallet yesterday. Most of them have the option to verify via text, but a couple of them only have the option to verify by calling the bank. Bank of America is one of these.

I called twice yesterday. The first time, I was told to contact Apple customer service to verify the card. This rep obviously didn't understand what the mobile wallet was. The bank needs to verify, not Apple. The second person I spoke with directed me to call the Bank of America online and mobile customer service number. I did that today, and it routed me to the same department. The person I spoke with today seemed to know what I was trying to do, but said that my information wasn't available in the mobile wallet area. I was told to contact technical support when they're back in the office Monday.

I called US Bank for the same thing yesterday and was on and off the phone with a successful verification in five minutes. What's the deal with Bank of America? Anybody else experience this or have any tips?
