MODE function - Microsoft Support
For example, the mode of 2, 3, 3, 5, 7, and 10 is 3. For a symmetrical distribution of a group of numbers, these three measures of central tendency are all the same. For a skewed distribution of a group of numbers, they can be different. Copy the example data in the following table and paste it in cell A1 of a new Excel worksheet. For formulas to show results, select them, press F2, and then press Enter.

One way I would approach this is get a formula to spit out the list array and then wrap it with average, median, mode.mult or mode.sngl In this case the formula to get the array would be =VALUE(TEXTSPLIT(CONCAT(REPT(A2:A5&"*",B2:B5)),,"*",TRUE)) Mean: =AVERAGE(VALUE(TEXTSPLIT(CONCAT(REPT(A2:A5&"*",B2:B5)),,"*",TRUE))) Median: =MEDIAN(VALUE(TEXTSPLIT(CONCAT(REPT(A2:A5&"*",B2:B5)),,"*",TRUE))) Mode: =MODE.MULT(VALUE(TEXTSPLIT(CONCAT(REPT(A2:A5&"*",B2:B5)),,"*",TRUE))) As you can see Im just nesting the array formula in which ever formula i need.

Do you actually need the mode result to be part of the pivot table, or just find the mode value in data that is IN the pivot table? And is there a problem with =MODE([range]) ?
