What are the two ways to calculate sales tax in Excel?
What is the Excel formula for calculating price including sales tax directly?
What is the Excel formula for calculating sales tax as a separate line item?
Hey there!
I used to be good with excel, and I have lost that since I left management. Anyways, I am trying to multiply 2 values B2*C2 to get a total in collum D2, but I need that total to reflect the SUM x the sales tax rate. The formulas I keep throwing in are giving me weird numbers. Essentially I am trying to figure out the formula to get the SUM of the values of B2 and C2 and multiply it by the sales tax and have the final amount including the sales tax. Essentially B2*C2= $8,597.34, but I need the total to reflect the 4.85% sales tax so the total I need to be in D2 is $9,014.32
Is there a way to do like SUM*.485?

Hello!
I am needing help to create a formula for a total column. It currently looks like this (the cell are defined names):
| Subtotal | -9.50 | |
|---|---|---|
| Sales tax | 8.75% | |
| TOTAL | =subtotal + Sales tax |
Whenever subtotal is zero/dash the TOTAL area displays 0.09 , I need it to show a zero/dash instead.
I appreciate y'all's help, Thank you!
