Apparently this is not possible online. I've been through the online account system as well as the T-Life App. It isn't listed in Add-on's. I don't remember this being the case previously. Is this a new way to make it hard to unsub from this, or was I mistaken previously, and you couldn't do it. (I am a former Sprint customer who came over in the merger).
It seems like this is in violation of the "Click to Cancel" law? I'm in California as well.
I was planning to remove some of my add-ons to cut corners on my monthly budget due to tight money. However, I can't seem to remove this addon; the website says it doesn't exist, but I am being billed monthly.
How can I remove it?

So, I got the new iPhone 13 pro max and it is arriving soon.
When I purchased it on EIP I chose to go with the protection 360. But I would wish to go for the Apple care+ instead.
Is it possible to cancel P360 now, before the phone arrives and as soon as the phone arrives I can get the AC+?
My teenage son's unlocked LG V60 just arrived today and we needed a new SIM card. Went to nearest T-Mobile store and everything went smoothly. Phone was quickly activated and we were on our way. Read the email receipt tonight and the SIM card was free but noticed Protection<360> on the PDF. Checked our account and sure enough...Protection<360> was added as a service ($18 per month).
We were not asked or even told about Protection<360> while we were in the store. Of course we are unable to deactivate Protection<360> without chatting with a rep. Luckily, the online chat was able to remove the insurance plan "within next billing cycle".
Has anyone else had this happen? Do the sales people get a bonus for adding these?
I've already searched within this subreddit and seen so many posts saying that protection 360 is not required and it's just a way for them to get commission, but the guy who switched us from Verizon to T-Mobile is my husband's friend and is claiming we HAVE to have protection 360 for 3-4 months to receive the discount he's giving us. He hasn't told me what the discount is supposed to be. On top of that, he quoted us paying $160ish until we remove the protection 360 and then he said it'd be $140ish. Our first bill was $262. Our second bill isn't ready yet, but it says our plan alone (experience beyond?) is $190. We only have 2 phones, and we traded in our old ones and are seeing a discount for the devices, but it's definitely not what we were told it would be. I'm beginning to regret switching, but we only did it because he told us we'd be saving a bit of money. Now I feel like we're getting screwed over.
(He's supposed to be looking into what the "issue" is with our pricing today, but I'm getting frustrated after reading how much they lie and not sure what to do.)
I’ve taken over paying our family bill for maybe 7 years. I have my dad on who doesn’t use anything other than call and texts, he does benefit from the international calls. My boyfriend and I are the ones who need the internet and unlimited calls/texts. We haven’t upgraded in a very long time and I don’t feel the need to but he’s mentioned wanting to recently.
My first question is, should we keep protection 360? My phone is working fine but she’s cracked in the back pretty bad while my boyfriend has his in great condition. We’re fairly careful and haven’t had instances of losing a phone either. We’ve also never upgrade since I brought him into our family plan.
He wants to switch plans completely due to feeling he over pays, we don’t charge my dad so we split the bill but I feel like what we are paying isn’t bad? Any input on dropping 360 or leaving altogether?
Hey all, I will be switching to T-mobile in the near future and am looking for honest positive or negative opinions as to whether Protection 360 is worth it. Hopefully I will be getting the $0/a month S23, and having an $18 monthly charge kind of defeats the purpose of having a free phone. I am always super careful with my phones and I've never had one break---however usually I get a phone around $300 or less so I've never been too worried about it either.
Bonus question: If I don't get P360 and something DOES happen, do I owe the whole balance or just what hasn't been "paid" off? And could I potentially just put the sim card in another unlocked phone until the 2 years is up and nobody would ever be the wiser?
How is the process and how fast can i get my replacement?
Just got a new iPhone from T-mobile, which is financed monthly. I know I declined the Protection 360 service when I did my payment online on their website, but then I received the bill and saw I'm being charged for it. As I read through the detailed bill, it says “Protection 360 Tier 5 TE was added to your line ### via Store Representative on ….. You will be billed $18.00 per month plus taxes and fees for this feature.” which confused me because when I picked up the phone in the store, the guy there never said anything about it.
I also remember my mom buying her phone (monthly payment too, I believe) at the same T-mobile store and never got charged for the Protection 360, but that was years ago, so I don’t know now. I want to cancel it, but I’m not sure if I could?
What does the 360 plan cover? My port on my iPhone14 stopped accepting a charger. It seems clean in there, but maybe a small piece of metal is bent or something. Anyway, we have 360 Protection and they are trying to send us to Apple Care. Apple care is charging $100+ to fix. T-mobile refuses to fix it and is saying AppleCare has to cover it. Back and forth with both of them today each claiming the other has to fix it. What am I missing? Also: T-Mobile is asking me to check with my carrier? Isn’t T-Mobile my carrier?
New to this sub, and I've read through the sub and have seen a lot of complaints about unauthorized Protection Plan coverage (at $18/month!!) being added to accounts. I just want to confirm this is still happening. I decided to make the jump (after 25 years) from AT&T to T-Mobile two days ago. I purchased my new IPhone from T-Mobile and ordered a new line and plan all through a T-Mobile agent over the phone. Not ONCE did he mention anything about a "protection plan", and I assure you, if he did, I would most certainly have declined it.
After creating my account online yesterday, I was shocked to see a monthly "add-on" charge of $18/month for a "protection plan" for my new Iphone that I never authorized. NOT a good start to my relationship with T-Mobile. I am writing this to keep this front and center so that new subscribers to their service know to look for this). I will also send a complaint to the FCC whether they refund me or not. Only because I know this is an ongoing issue from what I'm reading and it needs to stop.
I canceled it immediately through the app and will call them shortly to get a refund for the month that they just charged me. Be very wary when reviewing your monthly charges after set up. It seems to happen a lot from what I'm reading.
The title says it all. I get that everyone has their opinion on P360 itself but for those of you who don't have secondary insurance coverage (from your credit card company), do you remove P360 once your phone is paid off?
I paid my iPhone 14 Pro off in September of last year and still have P360. The only time I've had an issue with my phone was when the battery was bloated and I took it to the Apple store where they replaced it free of charge. This was in February of last year.
My wife's phone has a cracked back. If I have P360 for iPhone 14 Pro, and it's been past 2 years, do I file with the mytmoclaim website? And is it $29 or $99 deductible? Thank you.
