Because Amazon has turned into a cesspool, I started to have to keep a spreadsheet of my returns to make sure i am actually refunded.
In my spreadhseet I have this link, which shows all your amazon returns and status of each item in one place: https://www.amazon.com/spr/returns/history , the order #, item name, date returned, which credit card it shoul dbe refunded to, links to my credit cards respective activity page so i can see if refund was actually issued, amount etc
Used to be I'd get refunded same day or within days or droping return off to UPS. Now I returned two items weeks ago, called weeks ago and asked why i hadnt gotten refunded, and an agent said they received both returns, it'll take 5-7 business days (or something like that) to appear as a refund in your card. Weeks later, I still see on that refunds link, as it has said for weeks, "Return received. Processing refund." for literally weeks. Still no refunds on credit card.
So I already called about this once, now I had to spend my morning chatting with amazon instad of doing things I need to do. I was told they only received one item- I explained this is not what the agent told me last time, and on my returns page it says both items were received already (as it has said for weeks) and a refund has been 'being processed' for weeks. I had to be transferred to a suprviser. SO i had to waste my time speaking to THREE different agents, over mulipel weeks, and if I wasn't the type to check I'd be out over $80.
So please check that link which will show you all your returns and make sure amazon refunds you.
Apprently there are CLAs about returns issues, as I saw on another reddit post:

I've returned 2 items to Amazon and received confirmation that the return money was in my Prime account. I can't find how to access that account. Where is it?
I submitted a return, but somehow selected "amazon account balance" to return the funds to Instead of the desired original credit card the payment was made on...
Is it possible via the web interface to correct the returns desired path of refund if the pickup was just made, but amazon has not received it?
Thanks for any help, can restructure/clarify the question if confusing, having difficulty finding any reference to information on the topic.
