Hi ! I bought a 2020 Mac M1 AT a boot sale. The computer was unlocked and was usable. I didn t think to check if there was an account on it ( idiot me i know but i only had Intel macs that you can erase before). When i got home it was locked on the password because the screen was closed and it got into sleep mode.
Sadly i didn t take the owner infos and i tried messaging people with a similar name on Instagram with no result.
So my question is how can i check if the computer has an icloud lock before trying to reset it ? I don t want to lock it ever further. Thanks !

If this MackBook has iCloud Lock, then only the original owner has the option to unlock your device. The only way to do is to go into Apple services and to ask. But just to have the contract bill documents about this device. If not have a proof that you are the original owner on this device, then not possible to remove the icloud activation lock.
