@dwurf Ctrl Shift + F5/R is Hard Reload, doesn't empty cache.
There is a simple way to do what OP wants:
Open Dev Tools by pressing: F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I (or on Mac: Opt+Cmd+I)
Now by just leaving dev tools open, right-click or click and hold the reload button next to the address bar. Now a somewhat 'hidden menu' opens.
Choose: "Empty Cache and Hard Reload"

Ctrl+F5 reloads the page without using the local cache.
Ctrl+Shift+R also works, but not in IE

Nobody seems to have mentioned this yet, so I figured I'd chime in. When you have the Page Inspector open in Chrome you can right click on the reload page icon to be presented with a menu containing:
- Normal Reload Ctrl+R
- Hard Reload Ctrl+Shift+R
- Empty Cache and Hard Reload
Selecting the penultimate option will clear your browser's cache then reload the page for you.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Del, and check the cache from that popup and press clear now in all browsers.
- For FF, Tools > options > clear now > ok
- For IE, internet options > checked delete browsing history on exist delete > ok
When I Google, I get lots of advice about "Advanced" settings, but there are no Advanced settings in the Privacy and Settings tab?
I have done it before, but I forgot how I did it. Having to input all my PWs again is a royal pain, so I hope someone can help (and hopefully this becomes a resource for others too!)
From the overflow (3 dots menu)
Settings โ Site settings โ tap All sites โ choose your site
โclear and reset
From Chrome help
Cached images and files: Chrome remembers parts of pages to help them open faster during your next visit. Text and images from pages you've visited in Chrome are removed.
You will also lose browsing history, cookies and site data
Sometimes is working like "not"

Chrome stores SSL certificate state per host in browser history.
So just clear browser history (Ctrl+Shift+Del), at least the following parts:
- Cached images and files
- Hosted app data
- Content licenses
- Cookies and other site data, for Chrome version 64
Solution 2. If the above doesn't help, try this:
- Close Chrome, kill all
chromebackground processes - Delete the directory:
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data/CertificateTransparency
In Windows:
Internet Options/Properties > Content > Clear SSL state
Then type in any address bar: chrome://restart
You don't need to clear your entire history.
Need to clean/delete all data ( cache, cookies, etc), but only for 1 website. How can I do that ?
I know how to do it for all google chrome historical data, or for a period of time - thats the normal clean up. But I need to clean everything but just for 1 page.
In the past I remember that I have done that, there was a specific procedure to that. But now I cant remember, neither figure out, how to do it.
My phone shows in the Chrome app data in the Settings App that there's almost 3 GB in cache data, so I want to clear it. If I clear the cache data in the Settings App, not Cookies & Cache in the browser itself, will it still delete saved login data and log me out of sites? I often clear the cache for other apps like Reddit and Twitter and it doesn't log me out.
