To connect Bluetooth headphones to a Samsung TV, follow these steps based on your TV model and Bluetooth capabilities:
Ensure your Samsung TV supports Bluetooth. Most Smart TVs from 2015 onwards have this feature, but availability may vary by model and region. If your TV does not have built-in Bluetooth, you can use a Bluetooth audio adapter connected to the TV’s audio output (e.g., Digital Optical, AUX, or RCA).
Put your Bluetooth headphones into pairing mode. The exact method varies by brand and model—refer to the headphone’s user manual for instructions.
On your Samsung TV, navigate to the settings menu:
For 2022, 2021, and 2020 Smart TVs: Select Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List.
For 2019, 2018, and 2017 Smart TVs: Select Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List.
For 2016 Smart TVs: Select Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Wireless Speaker Manager > Bluetooth Audio Devices.
For 2015 Smart TVs: Select MENU > Sound > Additional Settings > Bluetooth Audio (for non-SoundConnect devices).
The TV will scan for available Bluetooth devices. When your headphones appear on the list (displayed as "Needs Pairing"), select them and confirm the pairing.
Once connected, you can adjust the volume using the TV remote. Note that on 2022 and newer models, you can use the "Multi Connect" feature to connect two Bluetooth audio devices simultaneously, allowing two people to listen at once without disturbing others.
If your headphones do not appear in the list, ensure they are fully charged, not connected to another device, and within close proximity to the TV. Also, check for firmware updates on both the TV and headphones, as outdated software can cause connectivity issues.
For older or non-Bluetooth-enabled models, you may need to enable Bluetooth via a hidden service menu. This involves powering off the TV, then pressing Mute, 1, 8, 2, and Power in rapid succession to access a secret menu. From there, enable BT Support and BT_AUDIO_ON_OFF. Note that accessing this menu may void the warranty and should be done with caution.
If issues persist, resetting the headphones or the TV may resolve the problem.
As the title suggests, I'm trying to figure out how I can connect my wireless headphones to my tv so then i can watch dvds at night in my blu ray player without keeping my family awake. I have attached some photos of the ports available on my tv. I did already check to see if the tv has a built in bluetooth function but it doesn't unfortunately. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I have a Samsung SmartTV (7 Series) which unfortunately doesn’t support bluetooth, meaning I can’t link my Bose NC700 wireless headphones with it.
What would be the best way to get around that except getting another TV?
Apparently there are Headset for TV like Sennheiser RS 175 that connects through the optical port and provides a pretty good audio quality.
But because I already have my Bose headphones, maybe it would be preferable to buy a bluetooth transmitter.
I guess an Apple TV + would do the trick too, I heard that it’s pretty good for bluetooth connection.
Honestly I’m quite lost, I’d appreciate your help and input! :-)
Thanks for reading, have a nice day.
