I have a PNG file that I converted to a PDF and opened in Word.
Is there a way that I can add a text box next to each star so that I may label that appropriately? If not, what would be a recommended way to do this? I tried to use GIMP, but my text comes out blurry because the resolution of the image is small. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Like what tool can I use to backspace text in an image and replace it with other text while keeping the same formatting. The problem with the manual style of cutting out the text and putting new text over it means it's hard to get the same formatting with the spacing the same as it was before etc.
Hi Nicole
Word can only edit text in a graphic that is made with the Office drawing tools. Any graphic created in another program is just a graphic for Word - it can't access the individual content inside. "HotDocs" must use a different format/protocol to create this graphic than what Word uses. It's not a "problem with Word", it's a question with how "HotDocs" creates its graphics - it's no "compatible" with Office drawing objects.
You'll have to edit this text outside of Word, or recreate the graphic using the Office drawing tools.

I opened a document with an object that I need to edit in word for another program named 'HotDocs'. The document contains a picture which is basically a flowchart, though not the type that Word has a template for. This chart was created in the other software and is Word-compatible. I cannot edit any of the text in the chart. The only thing that I am able to do is re-size it and move it up and down on the page. I need to be able to edit the text. Any suggections? I have already contacted the makers of the other software, and they told me that it is an issue with Word and they are unable to assist me. I am working with Word 2007 and the files open in 'Compatibility Mode'. I really hope someone out there can help me. This is the first time I have ever had this problem with Word.
