I was able to do it online, once you put his APO and go to check out it should adjust the shipping price. The large flat rate box should be around $20.. I wasn’t too specific on the customs form (snacks, letter, socks) and everything got there in two weeks!

I got an order for an address to APO, AE (where it would normally say City, State.) Under that it says "United States". When I googled APO, AE I learned that means it's an overseas military address.
On the page where you order the shipping label it says that the delivery date is the same date as the shipping date (both today, Jan 6.) I also saw in my googling that USPS is unable to deliver to these addresses and that you have to use a military post office.
Does anyone know anything about this? I've only ever shipped inside the US before so this is all new to me.

Yes - many times! The short version is that you ship it as you would any domestic package, but you need to include a customs forms. The estimated shipping date is a guess at best. USPS will transfer the package to appropriate military branch for delivery.
