Hey Reddit I am in this group called Sales A Holic and i was wondering how they were finding scraping the items and finding all the coupons necessary. Pretty sure it botted because so many other groups have a similar features. I am pretty sure amazon deals don't show coupon codes so I don't think that's the way they scrape it. amazon's coupon system is weird compared to most retailers. they have those little "clip coupon" checkboxes on product pages which is cool but the discounts are usually tiny like $2 off a $50 item.

i'm trying to figure out if there are better ways to find amazon coupons. like are there sitewide codes that exist? percentage off codes? or is it really just the item-specific clip coupons and that's it?

Every time I make a web purchase, I always wish I had something to throw in the "Gift Cards/Vouchers" section. I typed in "amazon coupons" in Google and http://amazon.com/Coupons came back. On it were coupons for things I buy all the time.

I clicked on one and it shows the regular price if you searched for it and then says "discount will be applied at checkout" meaning that the prices you see are not already marked down.

Definitely worth doing in the future.

Edit: This does only appear to apply to amazon.com. I tried amazon.co.uk and I didn't find anything. If you can find it and you don't live in the US, let me know and I'll update this.
