Unit Price Calculator
July 1, 2024 - unit price = total price / (weight per item * no. of items) There are many cases where the units of two items do not match. For example, peanut snacks can come in a 16 oz package for $2.44, while bulk peanuts might be listed as $2.99/lb.

linear algebra - Calculate price of multiple items knowing its total sum - Mathematics Stack Exchange
Let's convert the system into symbols and we'll see why: $$\begin{cases}36a+18o+27p = 477\\9a+27o+18p=432.\end{cases}$$ Let's multiply the $2^{nd}$ equation by $4$ to give us $$\begin{cases}36a+18o+27p = 477\\36a+108o+72p=1728.\end{cases}$$ I will then rearrange the $2^{nd}$ equation like so: $$\begin{cases}36a+18o+27p = 477\\36a=1728 -108o-72p.\end{cases}$$ So I know what $36a$ is, which I will replace the $36a$ in the first equation with the second equation: $$\underbrace{(1728-108o-72p)}_{36a} + 18o+27p=477,$$ which if I combine like terms and divide out any common factors, I get: $$10o+5p=139.$$ So I have managed to reduce the system to a two variable equation, but I don't have any other equations to reduce it to just one variable, which we know how to solve for a definite answer using basic algebra.
What's the difference between total fixed costs, variable costs, and total cost?
Total Fixed Costs (TFC) are costs that occur independent from your production. Fixed costs have no direct impact on production as you have to bear these costs even if your production continues at zero. For example, the rental cost of your facility building. Total Variable Costs (TVC) are costs that vary depending on production results. For example, raw material costs are directly affected by production. Total cost, on the other hand, is the cost resulting from the sum of the total fixed and variable costs. It is shown as TC (total cost). Total Cost (TC) is calculated by adding the two together

How can I reduce my total cost as calculated by the total cost formula?
Reducing your total cost can be achieved by either decreasing your fixed costs, reducing your variable costs, or increasing your units produced without increasing costs. This might involve negotiating better terms with suppliers, improving operational efficiency, or scaling production.

r/excel on Reddit: Spreading cost of multiple items proportionally
December 26, 2023 -
Apologies in advance if there is an obvious answer to it. I bought some items and received a discount from the total amount. I had some expenses incurred on top of the actual total price. Is there a way I can see how much each item costed me by spreading the discount and costs proportionally? Thank you in advance.

This is a math question. You figure out what portion of the total price each item represents. Then you multiply that by the discount and the expense. Say you have 2 things that were $40, one $10 and two $5. That all adds up to $100. $40 divided by $100 is .4, so multiply the discount by .4, subtract that from $40, then add .4 times the expense. $10 is .1 $5 is .05
