March 6, 2021 - I would push the couch closer to the wall, removing the gap behind it. I would also move the 1.5 chair to against the window facing the couch and get rid of the ottoman that goes with it.

November 10, 2022 - I highly recommend dual purpose furniture and buying from stores that specialize in small apartment furniture like Apt 2 B or ones that have a special section for small space furniture like CB2. I assume you are going to put the tv on the one large wall available across from the kitchen. You can face the L shaped sofa in front of it and put a console table behind the sofa with some stools that fit under it as seen in the photos below.

So we are moving into a much smaller home about 800 sq ft. Our couch is a little unconventional, it's a mid century modern style daybed sofa. The seating is quite long (I will include pictures from the website) and is wide enough to comfortably sit 3-4 people.
