Same issue. This came down to following the guide: memory matrix What ended up working for me was filling in sequence only. I used the original 8gb stick along with six 16 GB sticks for 104 GB total. Filled slots 1-7 in sequence and it ended up working. Got the three beeps error anytime I filled them out of sequence. More on reddit.com

Hey I have a Dell Inspiron 3520 which I currently hadn't booted up in a couple of weeks. When I went to fire it up today I was met with a black screen and 3 beeps on repeat. Is there any way to quickly fix this? It doesn't ever change from a black screen so I can't do anything on the device to get it fixed.

Will do, you're seriously a godsend, I was at my wits end trying to sift through stuff online, I think I'll call in the morning and if that route is a no go I'll replace the battery. If that's still not working I'll remove it again and bake the motherboard. Thank you again!

Hi, I'm trying to help my GF who is facing this problem with her DELL Inspiron 3520 laptop. Her screen is completely black when she opens the laptop and after a while 3 beeps sound...and then again and again. Now, I've read that this could be a RAM problem...other sites says you need to replace the Motherboard, others like this one: http://blog.parts-people.com/2014/06/27/dell-inspiron-3520-beep-codes-diagnostic-indicators/ ..Show a bit more complex problems (For me at least). So far, we've tried her unplugging it, removing the battery and holding down the startup key for up to even 60 secs and the trying to open it again, nothing. We've also tried and have removed the RAM and placed it back again after making sure there is no dust or anything, nothing. So...what are we supposed to even do now?

Well, in my case, I just removed the battery & tried to start the machine by plugging in charger & it worked.
After successful boot, I shut down the machine inserted the battery, removed charger & restarted it.
Machine started without any beeps.
