I have a [Edited] Brizo touch faucet that suddenly stopped working suddenly and completely - no sputtering, no intermittency. I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the 6v latching solenoid valve, and it worked for a couple of months, but it has failed again. I don't have an oscilloscope, but I made a little test harness (coupla blade connectors, a resistor and an LED in series) that shows the touch sensor system is generating strong pulses as I believe it should. The solenoid coil reads as it should, and when I apply 6v to it, the plunger (the slug in the middle of the solenoid insert) moves. The diaphragm seems intact. But it doesn't work in the faucet assembly.
The test harness. The (I think) problem-child valve. Vsrious other images of the setup. What I'd like, from y'all folks here, is some advice. Can/should I refurb the existing valve? If so, then what, beyond cleaning it and reassembling it (there's no indentation on the plunger) should I do?
And if not, then is there a valve you'd recommend as a direct replacement?
And if not, then recommendations for parts (especially the two [different] plumbing disconnects) would be appreciated.
Anyone seen this? 2yo Brizo leaks when magnetic handle is attached. Original installer is currently looking into replacement for me
