Help me im about to smash this fucking motherboard to pieces its an ASUS x570 ROG STRIX F GAMING. Ive been trying for about 7 hours to flash my bios something ASUS claims take 5 mins using their flashback button. Well every single avenue ive tried I get 3 green flashes followed by a solid green light. Ive formatted my usb stick and set to FAT32. Ive tried windows and Bootice so far to no avail. Ive tried multiple USB sticks and it appears whatever has gone on my first USB stick I tried has been killed. Ive cleared the CMOS and tried again. Ive triple checked im downloading the right bios thats compatible with my motherboard after seeing someone else have this trouble. Ive tried with just the motherboard connected to the PSU, ive tried it as a full system with the new 5600x with the RAM and everything plugged in asif it was a working PC. Im at a complete loss, wait months for my new stuff to arrive for this shit to happen. Please please please can anyone offer any advice

Just started my first build, I was aware I may had to do a bios update and I do because my bios is not up to date for my 5600 cpu. So I got a 32gb usb and formatted it to FAT 32. Went to the asus website and downloaded the latest bios for mobo. Did the renamer and put the CAP file in my root folder. Light turned solid green, searched reddit and found the convert to mbr and did that, then used disk management to "add volume" which aloud me to put it into FAT 32 and put files on the drive after converting to MBR. I am still getting a green light and have no clue what to do from here. Can anybody help me out or point me in the right direction?
Just built a new PC and it won't boot.
Trying to update BIOS and I get the "solid green lights".
The only instruction I can find is "Please make sure that you plug the USB drive to the USB BIOS Flashback port".
But what should I do to not kill my MB?
Extract the USB drive? Turn the PSU power off? Press the bios button again?
I've been trying to update the bios with the flashback on my B550-F Wifi Motherboard in prep for a Ryzen 5 5600x.
I've followed videos and the Asus site for instructions.
I download the File to the USB Root Directory- Extract the file - Rename the file- and make sure the CAP file is the only thing at the top of my USB with nothing else in there.
The USB is also formatted to FAT 32.
Everytime, I put it into the Bios Flashback I get three flashes and a solid green light indicating the update is unsuccessful not sure what else I can do here.
Would appreciate any help.
Hello all!
Yesterday overnight my PC suddenly stopped booting and the green BIOS Flashback LED in the back is blinking the whole time (I haven't pressed it). The RGB lights on the Mainboard are still on though, so it is getting power.
Cleared the CMOS then it booted up with all fans spinning but there was no display on the monitor and then after wanting to restart the system, it went back to the blinking green BIOS Flashback led state.
Then I tried updating the BIOS via Flashback but it just kept blinking green like before, seems like it just gets overwritten by whatever is going on.
Sometimes when pressing the BIOS Flashback button in the back, the system starts randomly which I do not understand to be honest but also with no display and the red Q-LED lights up on the Mainboard, which would hint at a CPU issue?
I'm really lost to be honest and have no idea what else I could try apart from getting a new Mainboard and/or CPU possibly.
My Parts:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ5 NEO 32GB DDR5
GPU: MSI RTX 4070 Super 12G
MB: ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming
PSU: beQuiet PurePower 12 1000W
Last night I turned off my PC as usual, nothing strange happened, this morning I went to turn on the PC and it didn't start, not even the RGB, not anything. Then I noticed a green light blinking on the back, it was the bios flbk, I didn't know what it was until now that I researched it. Tried everything to fix it, removed de CMOS, used a screwdriver to turn it on, checked the button itself, I tried to update the bios with a flashdrive, unplugged all the cables from the back, move it to my table and I connected the USB on the bios port, and I let it run for several minutes, but after 30 minutes I thought my MB was dead, so I just let it there to do some other things, came back 2 hours later, pressed the power button, and it booted, I got excited, turn off the pc again, put it back at my desk, plugged everything back, and now it doesn't start again, I don't know whats wrong, its been another 30 minutes, and it's still blinking, am I doing something wrong? And how did this happen if I never have messed with the bios or this button?
Its an Asus prime x670-P WIFI
