That is a convenience nut for alternative routing of a water loop. Take off that screw, leave your water loop alone, take off all power except for the pumps. Tilt the system one way or another to catch the coolant coming out when you apply power to the pumps. Turn on the pumps and ket the air and coolant out.

I am a first time loop builder here, and I am struggling to bleed the air out of my CPU block. I have tried tilting my case back and forth and that helps temporarily, however whenever I shut down the loop, the air goes right back into my CPU block (which only stays about half full after that) - any advice would be greatly appreciated!

CPU Block air bubble at top above inlet on left side, goes all the way to outlet on right Full loop pic, 240 rad at top, 360 in front. Loop is cooling both CPU and GPU.

I believe this is an air bubble based on pictures of the look of this monoblock when filled.

Two questions:

  1. This is an air bubble, right?

  2. How should I get rid of it?

Is it simply running it for a while + shaking it/spinning the case upside down?

Also, is it recommended to shake/tilt the case as it runs or tilting it around and then running? I'm a little scared to run it upside down because you're not supposed to run the motor dry, and I'm worried the reservoir isn't filled in to the max, so running it upside down will leave an air gap at the motor.

Thanks for any tips!
