To keep things short and sweet, I'm a sole proprietor, a one-man show, and a Prime (personal) member. Apparently for $69.00 / year I can upgrade to "Business Prime Duo," which (I think) can be used for both personal and business purchases.

Literally the only thing I care about with regard to Prime is fast fulfillment and shipping on everything I order, not just what Amazon thinks are "essential" purchases. Almost nothing I order from Amazon qualifies as "essential" by their guidelines, but they're essential to me in my situation. So for most of 2020, Prime has been useless to me, and I've chosen to non-renew it.

If this Business Prime Duo would get me my fast fulfillment and delivery back, however, I'd be willing to reconsider that decision and probably would go for the upgrade. I wouldn't be happy about having to cough up an additional $69.00 / year just to get what I already paid for with Prime personal; but I'm a pragmatic man, and if that's what it takes to get my stuff quickly again, I'd probably hold my nose and go for it.

On a related note, I think Amazon's pandemic prioritization polices are a mistake. Amazon is a retailer, not an emergency management agency. Just sell people the stuff they want and stop trying to decide whether or not an item is "essential." An item that may seem trivial to most may be essential to others.

So Busines Prime Duo links your Prime account to your business account and, supposedly, gives you bulk purchase discounts along with the advantageous free shipping of your prime account. I have an LLC so isnt this technically piercing the veil between personal and business activity?😳Also, I feel like I'm kinda being bullied into getting the Prime Duo deal since you wont get free shipping otherwise. Does anyone have this deal already and if so what is your experience as a business owner?🤔 This idea seems like a half baked idea by Amazon, should I just create a separate account and just run my business stuff with no free shipping?
