Is there a way to use Claude AI for free? I primarily use it for writing code, and it performs better than all the other available options. However, after 3-4 chats, it prompts me to subscribe. I currently have six accounts that I use alternately, but the context from the initial prompts gets lost when switching between them. Is there any way to use it completely for free? I can’t really afford the subscription right now. yes, the classic Indian problem. Haha

I know I should not complaint about free tier when even Pro members are getting peanuts but I was a Claude Pro member until today and decided this month I don't have much use for it and to cancel the subscription. Oh boy, I did not know that the situation of the free tier is this bad. All it takes is a single bit long message to hit the limit of chat and 2 to 3 chats to hit the full message limit. It’s almost like in the name of the free tier, Claude is just giving 2 demo messages.
Since launching Claude Code on the web, your feedback has been invaluable. We’re temporarily adding free usage so you can push the limits of parallel work and help make Claude even better.

• Pro users: $250 in credits
These credits are separate from your standard plan limits and expire November 18 at 11:59 PM PT. This is a limited time offer for all existing users and for new users while supplies last.

I use Claude primarily for writing work documents, letters, email … which isn’t a core part of my role, so I’ve always done well with just the ‘free’ version. Recently I was writing a report, and was one prompt away from getting my final portion of what I was looking for from Claude when I was told I’d run out of freebie stuff for several hours. Frustrated that I was so close to being complete, I paid for Pro just to get it done and over with.
I don’t use Claude or any other gen-AI LLMs/assistants enough to justify what, for me, is a relatively steep cost for so little use. But since I have Claude Pro anyway at least until the end of the month, I told myself maybe I’m underutilizing this.
Is there anything you can recommend for me to try in Pro that ‘free’ can’t do that may otherwise convince me to stay on this ride?
Is there a way to get unlimited, free access to Claude 3.5 Sonnet? I've seen some people mention workarounds or potential loopholes.
Any tips, tricks, or secret knowledge you can share? I'm eager to try this powerful AI without breaking the bank!
Let's see if we can crack this code together.
claude35sonnet #freeAI #lifetimefree #AI #languagemodel
I find claude.ai to be the most accurate and helpful for code generation..but is too costly. Can I get it for free or atleast at a smaller amount?
Or if there are some people, then we could put a share (200 each) and use a account? Suggestions invited
[UPDATE 2025-07-08]
Anthropic finally released this capability officially as part of claude code. You can uninstall everything previously installed via the installer with the new uninstaller:
# cd into your repo bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/grll/claude-code-action/main/scripts/uninstaller.sh)
Then follow the official instructions to setup the github action from claude code:
claude /install-github-app Set up Claude GitHub Actions for a repository use current repo │ A Claude workflow file already exists at .github/workflows/claude.yml │ │ What would you like to do? │ │ ❯ 1. Update workflow file with latest version 👈 │ > Create a long-lived token with your Claude subscription 👈 │ Enter a new API key
[ORIGINAL POST]
Hey there,
It's been more than a month that Anthropic released the integration of Claude Code with GitHub action using @claude on Github issues or PRs. Yet as of this time it is still not possible to use it with you Claude Pro / Max subscription unless you pay additionally per tokens for the use of that feature.
Few days after the release of @claude I made my own fork of the github action allowing anyone to use their subscription credentials with @claude. It's been quite successful but we also discovered a few issues with the setup.
Today I am releasing the biggest update of that fork so far. The key improvement that we worked on with the community was the handling of the authentication. We now properly support the full oauth flow from Anthropic independently from your local setup. This means we will refresh the tokens when they are expired (no more manual intervention every 8 hours) and we will not invalidate your local authentication flow.
Furthermore we also released and installer script that make it easier than ever to install @claude on your own repo. It's basically one command to run in your terminal:
# cd into your repo bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/grll/claude-code-action/main/scripts/installer.sh)
What are you waiting to start solving all your GitHub issues, opening and review PRs with Claude Code right from GitHub?

I can promise you (if that means anything on reddit) that it will just be me using it for personal/work reasons on both accounts (noone else has access to the openai account), and this is just a long shot but I had to try since shelling out $40 per month for both hurts.
I know, I probably shouldn't say anything because this is absolutely subsidized launch pricing to drive up interest and I'm going to jinx it and they'll eventually slow down the gravy train but damn. I saw someone else post their $20 in 2 days breaking even and thought I might as well share my own experience - I broke even day 1. I've actually only gotten rate limited once, and it was for about an hour and a half on that first day when I burned $30 in equivalent API use.
I'm a heavy roo code user via API and get everything for free at work so I generally look for the right tool for the job more than anything else, and while I still think roo modes shine where claude code hasn't quite nailed yet, it's a very solid product. In my own time, I had been going more gemini heavy in roo because sonnet struggles with big context and have mad love for that beautiful month of free 2.5 pro exp... and I was willing to overlook a lot of the 05-06 flaws. Jury is still out on 06-05, but I decided to give the $20 plan a shot and see if claude code would cut my API bills and damn. It did almost immediately. First day was 06/06, the 06/01 and 06/05 were using my direct anthropic API. This is not an ad, it's good shit and you might as well get some VC funded discount claude code usage while it's still out there.
Anthropic (company that creates Claude.AI) just released Claude for Education today and Northeastern is a founding partner with them. That means go to claude.ai, sign in using your NEU email and the SSO, then you get Claude for free.
WARNING: Not sure if this means NEU can see what you talk to claude about tho, so heads up if u gonna use it with class documents/assignments
I'm currently unemployed and trying create some projets on it but the free version is very limited. And the monthly subscription is over my budget, I need to think of feeding my family first. Is there any way to have shared subscription or something like that for Claude?
I want to use claude ai for free but I can't sign in because I am not in Us. Is there any way to use it without chat number limit?
I'm new to AI and have been using the free version of Claude and have found it to be incredibly helpful for my work in the advocacy/legal/academic world on a couple of initial, small projects over the weekend. I just uploaded a 15 page legal briefing asking for a summary and it told me that it was too large and that I needed to break it into smaller documents. I broke it into three five-page documents, started a new chat, and uploaded the first document and asked for a summary. It, again, replied that it was too large and I needed to break it into smaller documents. I was all set to get a Pro subscription, but will I be paying $20 for something that won't be able to meet my relatively meager needs? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
Hey everyone! Does anyone know alternative ways to access Claude 3.5 Sonnet for free, other than through the official site? Unfortunately, it’s not available in my country, though I've heard it works in some other Middle Eastern countries, even in challenging areas. I tried using LMarena’s direct chat as a workaround, but it frequently goes down because of high demand. If anyone has suggestions for other free access options, I’d be super grateful. Thanks so much!
Genertated by chatgpt pls save me 🥲
I recently signed up for Claude.AI. But they haven't updated my plan for hours. I always get a message asking me to wait 1 hour and still nothing.
How can I solve this? Has anyone else been experiencing this?
